Providing a cost effective solution

The innovation and design of the Impey Level-Dec was based around the difficulties faced by an installer that would ordinarily form his own floors. It reduces labour costs and provides a cost effective, robust and practical preformed shower base.

All products are heavily protected on the edges and shrink wrapped to ensure maximum protection.

"Real" Level Access

Level access showering for both lifestyle and independence is becoming more of a necessity and requirement. The introduction of the Impey Level-Dec has eliminated the need for high entry step-in showers. The domestic trend has become more focused on wet floor style bathrooms over recent times due to the continental influence and modern bathrooms are often now tiled or laid with waterproof vinyl.

A quality product made with great strength

The Level-Dec is manufactured using high quality Glass Reinforced Plastic with a solid core centre. The glass surrounds the core and then is heavily press moulded to eliminate the risk of de-lamination.

It is very strong and can safely carry a weight of 256kg (40 stone). It is so tough that it just rests on the joists and because it is so light it can be installed by just one person.

The Level-Dec ideally suits both timber and concrete floors

Timber floor with vinyl covering

The Level-Dec being 22mm thick is ideal for most timber and first floor situations. To fit the dec the floor boards are removed. When the drainage and the pipe work have been installed the dec can then be permanently fixed to the joists. The remaining floor must finish level with the decs edges in preparation for the non slip vinyl floor covering.

Concrete floor with vinyl covering

On concrete floors the Level-Dec can be let in to the concrete screed and when the pipe work has been completed it can then be bedded down to sit level with the existing floor. The flooring can then be laid over the entire bathroom floor and over the newly installed dec.

Floating floor with vinyl covering

Remove chipboard flooring and insulation. To prevent chipboard movement support the edges of flooring with timber. The supports also carry the Level-Dec which is eventually fixed to it after the plumbing has been completed. Then the standard flooring process can be completed.
